The 2024 U.S. presidential election is shaping up to be one of the most controversial and decisive elections in recent history. The political climate in the U.S. seems to be getting increasingly rough, and even violence is becoming a real threat, as seen in the storming of the Capitol and the assassination attempt on Donald Trump. As a result, important issues such as economic policy, healthcare reform, and foreign relations are being pushed into the background. The candidates of the two major parties are fighting for the favor of voters, who are increasingly frustrated and feel unrepresented. In this event, we will bring both sides of the aisle to the table. First, we will give a brief overview of the current state of the elections and the critical issues of this presidential election. Afterwards, representatives from Democrats Abroad and Republicans Overseas will engage in a lively debate and offer different perspectives on the most pressing issues. We will conclude with an interactive Q&A session where participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss directly with representatives from both parties.
